ENGINEER IN SHIP GROUP 2


As Engineer, you will be singel responsible for the machine on board the ship, ie that you independently take care of operation and maintenance on the machine, as well as various cranes, electricity and hydraulics on board.
The Engineer goes as a day laborer, and has machine guard evening and night (via alarm in the chamber). It is also your job to make sure that the FRBs on board are reliable at all times.
During both drills and sharp situations, you will be responsible for operating the crane in connection with setting off the boat.

The job is very versatile, as in addition to being in charge of the machine, you also solve everything else technical on board - it can be anything from replacing a circuit board in a radar to repairing air conditioners and engines.
In addition, the Engineer is included in the emergency preparedness, which means that an active part must be taken in the exercises on board first aid, fire and rescue.

As a person, you need to be solution-oriented and be able to keep a cool in hectic situations. You need to be structured so that you can handle varying tasks and plan your work day.
In addition, you should like to have an interest in Fast Rescue Boats (FRB) as well as an all-round approach to technical troubleshooting and repair of diesel-electric engines (Knowledge of Cummins is an advantage).

WE LIKE YOU TO HAVE:

Ship machinist of 1st degree and preferably ETO (alternatively ship machinist 1 degree, but wants to work permanently on ships under 3000 kW)
Valid health certificate, passport and maritime book
Your STCW certificates are valid / refreshed
Experience with rep. and troubleshooting electronics, hydraulics and mechanics
Can communicate in Danish and English
Clean criminal record and drug test
Possibility to sail 4 weeks enlistment (2 pers share a position)
