HSE Specialist

We are looking for an HSE Specialist, who wants to be part of a team of highly dedicated and experienced colleagues. Your main objective is to facilitate company-wide continuous operation and improvements within Health, Safety and Environment.

The position is located at our head office in Esbjerg. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure full compliance to relevant standards, requirements from legal authorities and ESVAGT’s HSE systems
• Day to day follow up on HSE events and reporting by the vessels.
• Provide HSE advice to ensure we meet all legal and contractual requirements
• Develop strategies for safety standards of tomorrow in ESVAGT
• Interact with the vessels in HSE matters
• Support the tender process with HSE matters.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master Mariner/Engineer, Academic degree e.g. BSc, MSc
• Experience from the maritime industry or other relevant industry like the Oil and Gas or Offshore Wind
• Knowledge to and experience in maritime standards and codes, relevant legislation and guidelines is required
• Knowledge to and experience in UK legislation, such as LOLER, PUWER and CDM is an advantage
• Service-minded approach to internal as well as external stakeholders.  
• Fluent spoken and written skills in English
